The Snowplow Guys – Solon, Ohio & Twinsburg, Ohio
Let me tell you a little story about a company called The Snowplow Guys. This “company” is located in Solon, Ohio and they claim to be a snow removal service. I live in Twinsburg, Ohio and I imagine they claim to provide their services in Aurora, Ohio and other areas in Northeastern, Ohio.
All of that being said, these guys are COMPLETE SCAM ARTISTS!!! Of course, you need to pay them up front for the entire snow removal season. For my tiny driveway which is only about 50 feet long, they charged me $139 for the season. This would be a pretty good deal — if they actually provided the service that they said they were going to.
To make a long story short, we got over 20 inches of snow a couple of weeks back… and The Snowplow Guys simply NEVER SHOWED UP. I called. I left messages. They were nice messages. I received no phone calls back. Then, the phone number that we’ve got for them – 216-256-3764 – was full of voicemails so you couldn’t leave another message. Then finally I continued to call and the phone has been disconnected.
I plan on informing the authorities of these scammers as well. Just thought I’d let blog readers out there know about this pathetic excuse for a company.

I called this phone number and these people does exist and there charges are $175 for this season. Should go with them?
I would stay far far away Jim. They’ll never get another dollar out of me. There’s no excuse for the scam that they pulled last year. One of the big problems with them is that they get all of their money up front. They’ll be good for a while and then stop showing up and turn off their phone – leaving you with no recourse. Then they’ll just do the same thing next season.
Be VERY leery of them… if you do work with them I’d love to hear how it works out.

I paid them 150.00 and they suck. They did not come on that Late January 2009 snow storm. And they did not come on other occasions.
I’m sorry to hear that Ed — have they given you any excuse as to why they didn’t show up? I think it’s absolutely crazy that these guys are able to get away with this year after year.
I work in IT and I should have google’d them before signing up. 150 bucks is not a ton of money but I have missed appointments because of being stuck in the snow and pisses me off that I have to shovel when I paid someone to do it. Going to the better business burea and follow up on paperwork on these guys. I want them out of business and hopefully gather everyone that paid them money and get it back.
Yeah, I did the same things (with the BBB). Let me know if there’s any way that I can help… Did I mention that he STILL had the balls to put a flyer in my mailbox this season???
I punched in that phone number (216) 256 3764 with the BBB and its registered to NATURAL SCIENCE LANDSCAPING. Either thats their real company name and they call themselves the snowplow guys in the winter. Or it could be someone that works there thats using that answering machine. This company is owned by RANDY WOOLFORK. Still figuring out who is responsible for this scam
Randy was the same guy that I was dealing with last year.
Have you heard anything from them yet? Last year the excuse that they gave was “the trucks were broken”.

All the comments are true above, we need to start a class action suite on these snow plow companies, Empire snow removal is a rip off company as well watch out for them also.
Empire Snow Removal is a big ripoff. Take your money and never show. Won’t answer their cell phone which is listed to a number in Lorain County.
Empire Snow Plowing is a big rip off company. Once they take the second half check, they do not show up. In early Jan, when the snow was more than one feet, they did come. i had to pick my car one the road and got two violation tickets. I had to shovel the driveway by myself. They had a phone before, then voicemail full and now it is temporarily unavailable. The answering guy was Randy.
Can someone let me know the phone number of Better Business Burea? i need to file a complaint and get money back.
The big lesson is NEVER hire a snow guys without knowing him well.

Not to sound redundant, but why in the hell did I not look for references from a source such as this before signing on with these guy? They didn’t show all day Sunday or Monday. I finally shoveled mine by hand because my teenage daughter and other visitors keep driving off of the driveway and getting stuck. I figured they might arrive while I was shoveling and show some remorse at how desperate we were but they probably just drove by and laughed at my effort. No return calls and no access to their office. I was willing to give them some time on Sunday figuring they were at or watching the Browns game. Buyer beware!
Have the same problem as Dean. No show since the weekend. I have called and left several messages. Here is more info about The SnowPlow Guys. They are also listed as Natural Science Landscaping. They have an “F” rating at the BBB. Seven complaints have not been answered or resolved. Randy lives at 7655 Richmond Rd.(also his business address). His other phone number is 440-232-5309 (with answering machine). The owners name is Randy (Randall) Woolfork. I hope everyone only paid 1/2 of the contract rate with the balance due this month. At this point, I will not be honoring the balance due.
I am having the same problem and will not be paying the second half. Does anyone know of another snow plowing company that I can get?

fyi, I fired them today under breach of contract. The cell phone number 216-256-3764 had a full voicemail box. Was able to leave a message on the home phone number 440-232-5309.
My mother n law hired them this year and they only came one time and we have 16 inches in the drive way now.
I am new to Solon and using this guy too. We have about 15 to 20 inches of snow this week and they only came 2 times. We have 7 to 10 inches snow right now in my driveway when call them, their voice mail box is full, nothing you can do about it. My passenger side mirror is broken because they didn’t plow the snow and my car crashed into the side wall of the garage door! Can we sue them to like better business office something like that? I paid in full.

The snowplow guys tore up my yard. To its credit, the company came back to repair it, but then damaged my invisible fence in the process. The company however would not pay for Invisible Fence to come to locate the damage, though they said once it was found, it would fix the wires. Of course, finding where the wire was broken is the expense, not the electrical tape. I am stuck with the bill. Stay away from this company.
We have just signed up with these SNOW PLOW GUYS with P.O.BOX as the line in the address of their contract. I will monitor entire season before making any statements about these guys. Obviously these guys do not do google searches on themselves so they may not really try to improve services based on our comments. Let’s wait and watch!!!
I think there ‘the snow plow guys’ is just one guy (african american) and has overloaded himself by agreeing to several contracts for the season. He showed up twice on Dec 6th (Monday) but at off hours..what’s the point of the contract? This happens again or he does not show up…I am going to send him a legal notice just to teach him a lesson. btw, yes, he leaves his cell phone at home and the voicemail on it is full and he never picks it up.
I also just signed up and already regret it. Their mailbox is full and their home number is not accepting messages 440-232-5309.
I can’t believe I got suckered by this guy (Randy Woolfork, 7655 Richmond Rd, Bedford Oh). I should have looked him up on BBB and the internet instead of believing what I now think were his fake references he had me call. I only paid half and I’m gratefull. He is a no show and will not return or accept any phone calls. I did call Carl Monday and would suggest everyone who has been taken by this guy call; we need to put this rip-off artist out of business.
I also called Carl Monday, Filed a complaint with the BBB, sent a certified letter canceling the contract and called Solon city hall. They directed me to Solon police who claim they can’t do anything. Now that the contract is canceled, I can call the police for trespassing if he ever shows unless he refunds me on the spot.
I am too one of the victims of this scammer. Signed the contact paid half back in October, never saw the guy. As mantioned above, voicemail is full, no response on any of the calls.
I can’t believe I also got taken. It never occurred to me to do a google search for something like this. It’s 8:47 PM and still no show to shovel the driveway. If the driveway isn’t clear in time to leave for work in the morning and return in the evening, then what is the point? Voicemail is full too. No excuse for this poor service…..
I just found out from the City of Solon that this guy has been doing this for years. He is taking money and running. Solon has NEVER alerted their residents, which is horrible. He has a message on his machine saying his truck is broken and he does not think he will be able to honor the contracts for this year. My husband found he lives in Bedford and got his address, along with house number. He called and told him he is coming over to get our money back, so we will see what happens.

I am a police officer in a local city were snowfighters advertised plow service and if you are unhappy or he has not fulfilled his contract contact your local police department.
What city? I called our city and they said they cannot recommend any companies for services – need reliable plowing service. Thanks.
They cant actually recommend any company, but if you feel you were a victim of a fraud by Woolfork, they should be able to take a report.
Well, he is back in business! This time operating under Empire Snow Removal – #440-989-0120. When I google Empire Snow removal the 7655 Richmond Rd address shows up – which is the same address used for Snowplow guys. Same old story regarding “trucks broken down , lengthy repair times and not making any promises”. What?! You have made verbal and written contracts with people. HE LIVES IN GLENWILLOW – PEOPLE CALL GLENWILLOW POLICE DEPT. #440-232 8788. AND SHAME ON SOLON CITY HALL AND POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR NOT COMMUNICATING WITH GLENWILLOW IN REGARDS TO ALL THE COMPLAINTS THEY HAVE HAD OVER THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS. They are my next call.
Good idea. Police are supposed to work WITH each other, not just ignore the public when a complaint comes about. Call Joe pagonakis about this, too. It’ll give Solon a nice little black eye.

This phone number is working this year fyi. He must still be taking calls because he’s in that part of the season where he’s scamming new “clients”.
I called him and gave him a piece of my mind. Scummy scam artist. I’m reporting him to the county and hope they do something about him. Can’t believe he’s still not in jail for his.
